Employee liability insurance

This insurance mainly protects employees from financial consequences of liability for damage. It also helps employers efficiently exercise their entitlement against employees to compensation for damage. The employer may require of an employee compensation for damage up to an amount of 4.5 times the employee's average earnings.

It is designed for: 

  • every employee working under a work contract 

This relates to: 

  • coverage of material damages to the employer's property
  • damages caused to the employer without previous property damage
  • material damages caused to property of third persons and exercised against the employee (if the insurer offers this insurance in its basic coverage)

Possible to additionally insure:

  • damages caused in relation to driving motor vehicles/working machines
  • loss of entrusted items
